Not so sure about that Matthew. He's been at it for a while and his resume looks ok on paper but....I'm not seeing any major accomplishments where he has been the head guy....plus this is a part time job for him...He has a job at RockIt where kids pay to play. As I understand it he will not be teaching at the school, so where will his real allegiance lie? Does he really want to coach high school age kids? He has not stayed in a coaching job where he was responsible for high school age kids or older for long. He has tried it, and eventually, dropped back to grade school kids whose parents can afford to pay to have their kids play. Not much pressure in that. This looks like a good way for him to supplement his income, maybe send a few paying customers to his full time job at RockIt and look out for his kids who are up and coming.....not so sure it will be as good for Atlee student athletes versus someone that would be 100% dedicated to the school and program. For me, programs are better off having coaches that are in the school and involved both academically and athletically with the students.
