Bassett has a long road to those 9-1 days like they experienced in the mid to late 2000s. I like Coach Johnson a lot but he's probably 3-4 years away. They've been down for a long time and sadly, until their better athletes stop transferring to Magna Vista and Martinsville, Bassett will continue to struggle. I think Johnson will build a constant winner but it will take some time.
He reported the location of the game on the 25th incorrectly. They travel to Rustburg. Since the schools are a fair distance apart it could be important to know the correct host site.
