This season is coming to a close fast and the big two are still at the top with one regular season game left. imo this is the weakest battlefield I have ever seen.there are none of the bottom four teams even close to JM and courtland. they just don't have the athletes to compete with them. this week will determine the district champion for what its worth and we need not to publicize this match up. the game we have been waiting for all season JM courtland at maury! I will have my breakdown and prediction later this week. STAND BY!
# I COURTLAND: courtland is still # 1 but that doesn't mean they beat JM Friday night. the cougars had little trouble with chancellor with the three headed monster or the three horseman as I call them running all over the chargers. they ran for 471 yards with green over a thousand yards, cheetum only 48 yards shy and Jenkins on the thousand yard doorstep. they didn't need allens arm but just to show you they are very capable of throwing the ball allen threw a 36 yard td pass to the speedy nick grant. now the question is how good is the cougar defense? chancellor has a very average offense but torched the cougars for over 300 total yards 178 rushing.i don't know how many was against the cougar subs but it is what it is.
# 2 JM: jackets started out slow against the knights only leading 14 to 0 at the half! but in the second half they ran away from spotsy with that powerful jacket passing attack showing up. scroggins was brilliant like always 12 for 17 231 yards 4 tds as the powerful offense had almost 400 total yards. like courtland the jackets defense bent but didn't break but gave a very inept spotsy offense 175 yards rushing mostly up the middle a problem they better fix when they play that team called courtland and their 3 horsemen next Friday night.
# 3 CHANCELLOR: I still believe the chargers are the third best team in the district even though they were man handled by courtland. that young quarterback Jason brown had a nice game as he passed for 124 yards and 2 tds and they ran for 178 yards. big game this week as they take on the foxes and believe it or not might be for a birth in the playoffs.
# 4 KING GEORGE: The foxes had a big offensive performance against caroline and got that stud back jecolby white back and that is a definite plus for the foxes. he makes them a lot better not only on offense but his defensive play is what they needed to help that KG defense a trouble spot all year. a big game this week as they play chancellor this week with playoff in their sight. stand by a win could put them up a notch to pass the chargers for third in the district in my ranking system.
# 5 SPOTSY: The knights keep playing the same as it looks like no improvement from game to game. I will say one thing after that lack luster performance against courtland a few weeks ago they are still playing hard like a knight team should play.they only have 1 win and they have caroline next week and # 2 in sight. a coaching changed is needed out there and i'm anxious to see what happens.
# 6 CAROLINE: The cavaliers began the game against KG with a little hope as they actually lead the foxes 7 to 0 in the first quarter but it was short lived. caroline has a good young quarterback Juwan Wallace who threw for 142 yards and 2 td's. they also have a huge tight end Deandre Christopher that has good hands. the cavs have something to build on now can coach yeates get those good athletes in the hall ways out for football! got a shot to get a win as they play spotsy and I wish the cavs well!
