Looks like things are starting to straighten up now and look like back to normal. JM won the first game of the year and Caroline finally looks like they may have their act together! Now lets see how the teams line up after week 4!
# 1 EASTERN VIEW 4 @ 0 Anybody have a problem with this pick. walloped Brentsville 42 to 7 and I'm afraid at the end of the regular season they will still be on top. Cant see anyone in the district beating them this year. The View is the real deal.
# 2 JM 1@ 3 Got to put the Jackets here as they beat a pretty good Petersburg team 17 to 14. If anyone thinks that you are going to keep a Serbay team down it ain't happening! Got a good back in A J Johnson and it looks like they are finally going with strong armed Zack Davis as QB. I knew the Jackets was going to get better but I also believe Courtland will also get better but better than JM only time will tell. Right now I believe JM is a hair better than Courtland but not much!
# 3 Courtland 0 @ 3 The Cougars may be the best 0 @ 3 team in the state! They had a bye this week for J C Hall to get them together. Courtland had a lot of players back from last year and only a tough schedule the first of the year has caused a 0 @ 3 start. A big test comes this week as they go to Eastern View and IMO may be the only district team that has a chance to beat the View. Don't think it will happen but we shall see!
# 4 Caroline 2 @ 2 Looks like Caroline has finally turned the corner. Was not a real impressive win against T J of Richmond but for them a win is a win! Looks like they have found a good back in Talen Smith so when district play starts this week against KG we can get a better gage on how far they have come! Good luck Caroline! SWEET CAROLINE OH OH OH OH!
# 5 SPOTSY 2 @ 1 Don't get discouraged boys from post oak! You played a good big physical Orange team! You have taken baby steps in beating two teams that you should have beat and in years past you couldn't beat ! now the next step is beat a team as good as you like this week in Culpeper! Hold your head high as some more wins are in sight So heads up and forget about the Orange game! Great job coach Jack as knight nation is glad you are part of Spotsy!
# 6 KG 0 @ 4 Yes I know the foxes have played a very tough schedule but I am scratching my head. They really have good looking athletes and a huge O line but seems nothing is clicking right now! They might surprise some people in the district and this week we should see how far they have come this week against Caroline. These good teams are hammering them as Stafford beat them 28 to 6 and had two TD's called back! I hate it because my good friend Jeff Smith is scratching his head trying to get a win and I wish him well!
#7 CHANCELLOR 0@ 4 This was our CVTV game of the week and the chargers was out manned by a good Liberty team. Typical rebuilding year as they play well in spurts but just don't have enough bricks for a full load! Jeff Glessner is a nice young coach and he is about 3 years from a competitive team. We enjoyed doing the game at Chancellor and special thanks to their new AD Len Carlson for his hospitality. Also enjoyed meeting and talking to Chancellor fan at the game as enjoy his predictions each week on preps.
