I know we have had our differences my man, but what is going on out there in Red Clay Country? I see that they lost again last night to Chatham. You guys have got some athletes, and I hate to see it happen the way that it has. I know you and a few others have cited to coaching, what exactly goes on that has just flipped the script?

I have seen no "reports or recaps" on Chatham - Buckingham game. But it looks like Chatham may be for real this season.
Congrats to Matt and Chatham 1st of all his kids play hard for him. The locker room is lost here. We lost Toney and starting center last night in 1st half. Players are all out of position and it's the dullest feeling ever in Buckingham. The kids know they are gone after this season and they are just going through the motions. Change is much needed. Our kids left the field last night thanking us for being there and not leaving early. It's rough when I counted 47 fans on the bleachers at one point.
Man that's a crying shame. I hate to see that, but a horrible coach who doesn't care for the kids tends to create that problem I guess. Y'all keep supporting those kids, and things will get better I am sure.
The answer is hiring Seth Wilkerson!!!!! he was a staple there under Gill years. I have no idea why the administration didnt go with someone already in the system that the boys would have been more than happy to play for. I hear they have one of the Conner boys our there this year from Appo. He been head coach of middle school for 5 years or so.
Dont get me wrong, when Douggie Fresh came here. I would be lying to say he didnt hear the rift raft for a few years but NOTHING LIKE what Bucktown is going through. People complained about late practices, soft tackling in practice, too much offseason activities, too many camps, Christian morals and values, his selection of coaches poor play calling, poor clock management. I heard it all.. I would be lying to say I didnt question some calls he made in a few games early on but I was on board with the direction of program. BUT HEY......You cant stop what God had done in Appomattox. That community had come together over that ball called a football and its a special thing to witness. There is no doubt in my mind, that God placed Coach Smith in Appo for a reason. Nowadays, NO ONE questions Doug and his plans with the program he had built. God used that man to change that community and the rise of the Power Of 1! Something that still stands strong today! It will die down when we have a few off years, but there is no doubt that Appomattox is a community that uses football to come together nowadays. His wife is a Appomattox native so he has ties in community as well.
I hope whatever direction Buckingham goes, I hope they can bring in another Gill. Buckingham and Appomattox rivalry runs deep and I would love to see another close nail biter over that AXE like 2015!!!!
