Benedictine was dominant in their 48-7 win over Bishop O Connell. Navy commit Caleb Grimes ran for 157 yards with three touchdowns and freshman quarterback Jay Woolfolk totaled 278 yards in offense for the Cadets who improved to 4-1.

Woolfolk found fellow freshman Dillon Tennyson for a 20-yard touchdown strike for the only score in the 1st quarter.

The Cadets scored three touchdowns in a four minute span in the 2nd quarter to break the game open. Grimes broke free down the sideline for a 92-yard touchdown to give Benedictine a 14-0 lead. After the teams traded special teams touchdowns, Woolfolk scored from 31 yards out to extend the lead to 28-7 midway thru the 2nd quarter.

University of North Carolina commit Chris Collins was very disruptive blocking a punt which led to a touchdown and he pressured the Knights backfield which resulted in at least a half dozen sacks. Bishop O Connell had less than 100 yards in offense Charlie Garbett recorded three sacks and a couple more tackles for loss.

The Knights only touchdown came via a 90-yard kickoff return for touchdown by sophomore Jahmal Banks in the 2nd quarter.
