Bethel Surprises Denbigh

Exavier Cain finished with three hits and drove in two runs to lift the Bethel Bruins to a surprising 6-3 win over the Denbigh Patriots. The Bruins improved to 5-10 while handing Denbigh their third defeat.

Cain gave the Bruins a 4-2 lead with a 2-run double in the third inning. He also doubled to center in the 5th inning and would score on a single by Brady Allen. Bethel scored two runs via throwing errors.

Joey Santos was credited with the win despite walking eight batters. Cain relieved him in the sixth and threw one scoreless inning. The Bruins defense came up big in the 7th with a double play after a single by Austin Edmonds to lead off the inning.

Sisqo Scott had two hits and stole a base while Daniel Logan added two hits.
