The time is finally here for the big NNK District showdown! The team that most likely wins this game will win the NNK in my opinion. Northumberland had a ugly game against Trinity this past Saturday. I personally didn’t take that Loss as seriously as others despite who was out and wasn’t playing. Palmer and Lee and the rest of committee who was out are expecting to play Friday night. Essex has the momentum coming off a impressive win Friday night and probably highly favorite as they should be. Essex coaches last year set up a great game plan to shut down Palmer.

Friday Night will definitely be a great game with both teams sporting a 4-1 record, new coaches in their positions, high power offenses with ground and aerial weapons, and the start of District Play!

The CB and Rapp game should be good as well. don't let the 3-2 vs 2-3 record fool you. Two of Rapp's losses were less than a TD. Rapp could very easily be 4-1. As for CB, their Two losses were less than a TD.
This says a lot for the NNK this year! with One team 5-0, two at 4-1, and the next two with losses of less than a single TD! #FridayNightLights

I for one hope the whole Northumberland "Committee" will be playing Friday. I rather see both teams at full strength in a game like this. Plus it's Essex's homecoming. As for Da Beach...they knocked off Essex last year at our homecoming. No one in the NND will overlook them. Essex will be playing them next week @ CB.

I'm picking Essex huge in this one 44- 12 , Northumberland may not be ready for a game of this magnitude Essex has plenty of big game experience. The only way this game is close will be because of the homecoming distractions.

Northumberland will be exposed in this game with or without Palmer. Although Essex has weapons they can be their own worst enemy as well. If Essex is on point and limit mistakes they walk away. CB is most complete team in NNK. They dont make hardly any mistakes

Interesting how you have shown nothing but disrespect to an true underdog team like Northumberland all season. Plus, you appear to gleefully hope for their destruction by always powerhouse Essex

(oh it really takes a lot of balls and football knowledge to predict an Essex win over any district opponent --- great prognostication skills there...).

Yet after I had ranked West Point higher than they probably deserved all season and wished them well several times (since WP is also an underdog team), you got your panties all bunched up because I thought Middlesex might be better than WP after they got soundly beaten 22-6 at home by CB.

Most posters predict any easy easy win by Essex at home over Northumberland. Some comments are "Essex will take Northumberland behind the old woodshed" Top ranked Essex will show NHS why the Indians should not be ranked" "NHS is a Pretender" "They will be exposed" and so on. Essex should be heavily favored as usual.

Essex will indeed be fired up to show NHS and everyone who is and will remain the King of the NND in football. No doubt, Essex will plan to send NHS and everyone else a message I agree with the poster there.

I would put the Vegas odds line at Essex winning by 15.

That is what I would put the odds at - (not my prediction) - some may say the line should much higher or a bit lower.

I hope that Northumberland comes out strong and can battle with Essex. IMO, NHS has the talent and good coaching this season and could win this game (if the ball bounces their way).

No disrespct. When we scrimmaged them when both teams at full strength, we ran at will and shut them out on defense. That is a fact and can be verified with video.. Yet their fans get on here act like they are world beaters. So yea, I dont care if they lose to Essex. You seem to always make a mountain out of molehole. We got "crushed". " Gleefully hope for their destruction". Not sure where you got your journalism skills, but there is no need to add anything to simple banter about high school football games unless you have an agenda, which I think is obvious.

I just see them as a one dimensional team. And that aint gonna cut it against Essex. That simple. Someone just posted about the qb not breaking any plays in the Trinity game when the play broke down. To most that would indicate they struggle to move the ball against good teams and rely on the qb to take off. Which is the same thing that we saw in th scrimmage
