Game will start around 2:30. Huge contrast in styles in this game. Franklin will need to defend the 3 like they did against Northumberland and Lancaster. They held Northumberland to 21% from 3 and Lancaster to 11%. This GW group will definitely test them behind Kirtner and Goode.

The only team from Virginia to beat them was Handley, who was a state semifinalist in class 4. They beat them by 10

I knew Franklin was in trouble, from the way GW was scoring so easily.

Franklin hung their hat on defense. For them to have any chance, they needed to limit the 3s from GW, but that wasn't the case

I think everyone could tell GW is on a different level. Going back to last year when they beat Dorman and gave Mentor a good run and this season beating 6A Annandale, giving Handley a game, beating Fleming. They’re definitely better than any class 2 team outside of JM but I do think them and Graham would’ve been a decent game.

This year, GW wins it in 2A with no JM. Hell they coulda played within 20 of JM IMO.

George Wythe had a dominating performance! Franklin couldn’t do a thing with them. No offense, congrats to Franklin on making it there but they struggled and were just outmanned from the start. GW Seniors have played AAU together since 3rd grade! They’re just a well oiled machine. Congratulations Coach Dunford & Maroons!
