Everything I see on Carver Academy ties them into the tidewater district and Region 1A. If they are not in Region A then West Point slides back in

In the hunt for last seed *Middlesex 4-8 (2.66)*
*Windsor 2-8 (2.60)* Northampton 2-6 (2.12)

So...... is Christchurch part of the VHSL??? Northumberland still had 2 lost. Just saying.

Christchurch is a private school not a home school. If Northumberland was 8-2 with the home school team lost their power rating will still be the same .

Yes, Northumberland has an overall record of 8-2. The two losses would be printed in newspapers.

However, the really good Richmond area Home School team NHS lost to by 2 points is not included in how the VHSL or Region A computes the ratings which determine the seedlings.

NNKalumni2 is providing readers with the current seedlings for the Region A playoffs. The NHS loss does not count so he does not include it.

When NHS lost and won the year before to a strong Trinity Episcopal in Football, it did count in the ratings. Like I assume, Christ Church counts in the ratings.

I think that this information is accurate. If not, please post.

Does district tournaments mean anything? I mean in the sense if Middlesex loses the rest of their regular season games but end up winning their district tournament, would that qualify them for the Regional tournament?

District Tournaments are for the District Trophy (Championship) only, it has zero impact on the Region A Tournament seedings.

The top 12 teams and their seed are based solely on regular season record.

So Middlesex could win all Tidewater district tourney games by 30 points and it would have no impact whatsoever on the Region's top 12 teams.

The NND will hold district tournaments to continue the NND sports traditions and provide local excitement of being the best (plus help with sports monetary issues).

NND will have District Tournament Champions in the following sports - Volleyball, Boys and Girls Basketball, Boys Soccer, Baseball and Softball.

Some districts may choose not to hold a district tournament. While there are certainly pros and cons, I like that the NND will continue with the old ways.

Of course, if you are already the number one seed in the regions, do you risk injury to your star player (s) by playing them for the district championship? Hmmm...

pros and cons...
