Brookville Bees

I think it's too early to say. They beat a not so good PH team and a very bad Waynesboro team. I think they are very good but I wouldn't judge exactly how good based off of their two games so far. I think we will find out when district play begins.

It is hard for high school teams to control strength of out of district games you set the schedule years in advance and hard to predict year to year how well teams will do outside of your normally strong teams. I think PH and Waynesboro will both end up winning ball games 4-6 games each. Cville, Halifax and Franklin County will struggle to win games. When Glass made the schedule Cville was winning games Halifax and Franklin County have been down for a while. If you can win games in the Seminole powerpoints won't be a factor for any team with the strength of the district.

I here a lot of noise that Glass is the team to beat but I just took an Look who they played and very week teams they have played . In fact the 3 teams they have played haven’t won a game yet .
You are exactly right. I've been telling people this as well. I think Glass, JF, and Brookville are all good teams but until someone beats "the man" then speculation and predictions mean nothing. In this case "the man" is still Heritage since they are defending district champs.

Brookville is very good. Return speed and playmakers on outside to balance the running game when they out-scheme teams. The test will come if a D can bottle up the wide outs and force Bees to throw underneath or in pressure (see Amh or Heritage gms of 2017)

Glass has made strides and found a way to be better on D especially after the loss of do-everything All state MLB Thomas Patterson. Coach Woody has a skilled QB in Kendrick (similar to his day from late 90s) and he is capable of spreading ball around or just allowing TY Foster to run downhill. I really think the timing of matchups and weather are factors. Brookville plays on Bermuda when wet can be the best tackler in the field. All the other candidates for the Seminole crown are turf teams and JF just won a big game vs GW as Heritage smashed Appo. Confidence building wins and valuable points with the Seminole games to come. Heritage still team to beat but the top of the district is only separated by frog hairs.

The seminole is wide open this season with so many good teams. I think it's just too early to say who will be the team to beat. Too many good coaches and a talent rich area.

I wish I could be at more than one place every week! Seminole District football is must see!

I can't think of a better district to watch. The teams in the seminole are always competitive and it's hard to just dominate district play.

Same song almost every year, dominant out of district and lose 2-3 in the seminole

I could see Heritage or Brookville going to state in 3A. The outcome of Glass and JF should give a better idea of how good they are. Amherst is down this year but I think they would be competitive in other districts. How good is Liberty this year? Interesting start for the Minutemen this season.

Brookville is throwing up crazy numbers so far...are they that darn good this year? Wow...

How good are your Warriors this year? Will they be able to compete with teams like Brookville/Heritage this season?

Hard to go undefeated in the Seminole unless you are loaded and still hard then. Can't gauge Brookville until they play somebody. The Seminole is going to be fun to keep up with.

In all honesty the D of MV is very good! There are holes in the offense such as running game where there is no true hit the hole down hill running back but MV does have several shifty backs. MV qb situation where there are multiple qb (hence you have none) but they have 2 talented signal callers that are very capable of moving the ball down field. However being able to throw a ball down field is good but you have to be able to receive the ball down field as well and MV struggles at that position. O-line and D-line are pretty sound. There is a pretty good special teams group this year and the secondary seems sound. Coach Favero and his staff have a special young group (mostly sophomores) they're working with this year. I think MV will compete and make a deep push into the playoffs this season from what I see. I'm excited about this season for those young Warriors and Staff.

Sounds like it will be a good year for the warriors. Coach Favero has that program continuing what they have always been able to do and that is win consistently. It will be interesting to see how MV, LB and Northside stack up in the region as this season progresses.
