I totally agree with you mvwarrior. The MV player that threw a punch was definitely retaliating from the slam he received so HokieTDTech and oldsport74 I don't know which game you were watching last night if you didn't see that MV players were only reacting to what Brookville started. And as adults we can all say that the kid should have been ejected because we know right from wrong but these are kids and if any kid is attacked trust me they are going to react. So in my opinion Brookville is the dirtiest team I've ever seen because as mvwarrior has stated there were many hits after the whistle and the referee's didn't blow the whistle because they were having a water and popcorn break I guess. So with referee's not focusing on the game and with teams getting out played like Brookville then frustration comes and that's why they behaved the way they did. Just ask yourselves if a team is winning why would the be upset and start a confrontation with the opposing team? That really don't make sense. MV controlled the entire game so they had no reason to be bullies. But I do agree from an adult's viewpoint that some things you don't address but we are discussing high school kids who don't have the maturity that adults have. Therefore, I'm sure MV's coach will address this with his players that they have a target on their backs because they are the defending champions and those who can't keep up with the champs will try to destroy them before they can accomplish their goal for this year. So, as the MV Warriors prepare for Staunton River this week I'm sure they will not waste a moment of sleep worrying about the misbehavior of Brookville and the referee's. The MV Warriors are focused on repeating and not on having a fan club.
GO WARRIORS!!!
