This is a tough, tough game to pick. Buckingham is so good with what they do. Very disciplined and well coached. Hard to pick against an undefeated team. But…

Strasburg has a boatload of talent, is also well coached and is playing at home.

More importantly, I think Strasburg has played a stouter schedule and that has made them maybe a bit more prepared.

So…Strasburg in a nail biter. (I am also a Bull Run Homer 😂).

This should be an interesting game. Buckingham likely has a shade more speed than anyone Strasburg has played. While Strasburg is about as disciplined and bulletproof as I have seen this season. The knock on the Rams were the postseason fades in more recent years as they had regular season success only to not quite show up the same in the playoffs. This group seems different so I would not expect a let down at home. Buckingham has gotten that same weight off their shoulders so you can already say this team is different and has a pretty good defense which you have to have to travel and win in the postseason. Personally I will look to see if either team tightens up since it's the region championship. I hope neither do and we have a slugfest down to the wire but I will say the Strasburg D has played several more prolific teams than Bucktown and been successful. Thats not to say Buckingham wont shut them down as well so there is the possibility of a low scoring game. I kind of doubt that and will say it's a race to 21 with Strasburg having the slight edge. Good luck to both teams

As a Strasburg fan I was skeptical going into the playoffs. But with the dominant efforts in both games so far. The Rams just seem different than years past. Sure some of their backs can house it at any point. But that defense and their physicality has really impressed me since they are so young on that side of the ball. To win the LOS against Riverheads who typically regardless of size controls the LOS is really impressive.
Don't know but what I read on here about Buckingham.

I am taking Strasburg 24-21.

Strasburg will certainly be a formidable opponent. Don’t underestimate this Buckingham defense. Talented as the Knights are, I’m going to toot the horn of coach Seth Wilkerson. Now the head coach, he was formerly the defensive coordinator under the legendary Coach Gill during the last decade or so during his time in Buckingham. When Coach Wilkerson is calling defense since then in roughly 37% of the time opponents are held to single digits. That’s pretty darn impressive looking over a roughly 16-17 year period. With this group of personnel he’s held the last 9 opponents and 16 of the last 23 to single digits or less. Now with that being said, Strasburg could come out and drop 28 Friday and win convincingly at home, a team that shut down Riverheads’ attack like that seems up to the task. I know Buckingham doesn’t get a ton of coverage being in the JRD and having the postseason history that it does, so I just wanted to point out hey, this guy Coach Wilkerson is one of the most under appreciated defensive minds out there imo.

Wise advice but last Friday I was pleasantly surprised that it was not as bitterly cold as I expected it to be. So hopefully tonight's crowd will be equally lucky.
