Buffalo Gap @ Appomattox

Buffalo Gap has had a fine season ! This is the end for them . 35 - 12 Appo

Information about game Semi Finals game (From A.D.):
Due to the large crowd expected to be attending the home State Semi-Final Football game against Buffalo Gap High School at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday Dec. 5th Appomattox County High School has secured overflow parking at the old Thomasville Factory on Founders Lane, Appomattox Virginia 24522. (To access the overflow parking take the first Appomattox Exit off of Rte. 460 East and take the first right turn onto Founders Lane at the stoplight by the Dairy Queen.) Shuttle buses will be provided, free of charge, to take spectators to the game starting at 1:00 p.m. These buses will be taking spectators back to the Thomasville parking lot starting in the third quarter of the football game will run until approximately 45 minutes after the football game is over. There will be staff members at the Thomasville Parking lot to assist with parking and loading/unloading of passengers.

Due to this being a VHSL State Semi-Final game the ticket price is $10.00. This price is set by the VHSL. Only VHSL sanctioned passes will be accepted. There will not be a pass list for the game.

VHSL guidelines for State Playoff games have a strict NO RE-ENTRY policy. If you have to leave the stadium before the game is completed you will not be able to re-enter even with a VHSL approved pass.

Pre-sale tickets will be available at ACHS from 11:35 a.m. to 1:40 p.m. on Thursday Dec. 3rd and Friday Dec. 4th. Tickets can be purchased from the book keeper in the main office. The VHSL has allotted ACHS 500 presale tickets, so first come first served. Once these are sold out tickets will only be able to be purchased at the ticket booth on the game day.

The ticket booth will open around 12:00 p.m. to purchase tickets. No one will be allowed admission to the stadium until that time as it will be closed in preparation of the game.

Lawn chairs are prohibited due to a lack of adequate space around the fence outside the field.

I wish all of the BG fans, players and staff safe travels. Come down early and get some breakfast. plenty of places to eat and there is a coffee shop on main street called Baine's. GREAT COFFEE.

Why doesn't Appomattox coordinate with landowner of the field across street from school/stadium and use that for parking ?

If landowner was smart, he/she could charge 5 or 10 dollars and make some $$$$$. Heck, take out insurance policy in case of lawsuit.

I think people might get shocked in this one..
It certainly could happen as BG has earned the right to be here. However, and not to beat a dead horse as I have mentioned this before, Gap's pass defense is atrocious. The last time I saw an Appo game, they were fairly effective in the passing game. Gap is physical on both sides of the ball, but not real deep. The defense wears down late in the game.

So who all is planning to go to this game? I plan to make the trip from Staunton. I'll probably grab a bite to eat at Colleen Drive-in (I love that place) on the way down and stop in for some beers at Loose Shoe Brewery on the way back. I couldn't talk my son into going, so if anyone from the Valley or Hooville wants to ride with, I've got room.

Good luck tomorrow Appo !
Another thing, MAD RESPECT brother!!! You are the only 1 out of 10+ Richlands fans that come on the board to chop it up since the game. The rest are POOF, they gone!!!! Had some disrespectful one in my inbox talking about we "bought the game" and "paid the refs."

Teams I've seen play this year:
Broadway
Western Albemarle
Monticello
Spotswood
East Rockingham
Madison county
Staunton River
Waynesboro
Buffalo Gap
Wilson Memorial
Riverheads
Robert E. Lee Staunton
Luray
Harrisonburg
Central Lunenburg
Phoebus
Poquoson
Appomattox
Giles
Glenvar

Not a single one of these teams is better than Appomattox. The Raiders have size, some speed, and are very very deep. Coaching is much improved over past seasons too. This is a championship team if ever I saw one. Clarke county better strap their helmets on tight for the championship.

Was you at game? Should have said something? Would have spoke to you.

Thx bro for compliments, but this is the 4th yr of this particular coaching staff. Coach Smith was released on some shady crap that went on at Heritage High (Lynchburg)(dont want to discuss it on board). They railroaded him to bring in someone that they felt was more qualified. SMH, bet they feel ignorant nowadays.
