First the rumor mill has Grayson Overstreet going to Jefferson Forest this fall. With all of the losses to graduation that JF has, this would be a big pick up. Of course, JF would still have a lot of question marks going into the season (with or without Overstreet) Interesting rumor to get the site buzzing for a couple of days in the off-season.
Today's big news has really hit like a lightning strike. Of course we know Burt Torrence is resigning, but the speculation of what happened and who did what has been driving the 3/4A board once again. 2 things that caught my eye from the Times story. One, Torrence doesn't expect to be at Northside this fall. Secondly, he hasn't given up on coaching football, so if the right opportunity came along he might find his way back to the sidelines.
Needless to say things have been more exciting than normal for football talk in mid April. Well at least we've had something interesting to talk about and drive the board lately. Wonder what's next?
