I didn't realize Dotson stepped down, I'm guessing he did this to focus on hoops? It would be tough to coach football and basketball.

Dodson did not step down-he was removed by the administration under their impression it was just too difficult to coach 2 major sports as head coach. Not a amicable split. The article in the DNR quotes Dodson saying as he doesn't know where he will be next year as he wants to continue to coach football but he may remain at Spotswood and continue to coach hoops.
