Central-Woodstock over Stonewall-Quicksburg 67-37

Central has some talent at every position but they are still a little behind on practice due to an extended football season. I think they will lead the Bull Run this year. It may take 4 or 5 games to get them playing as a team however. Stonewall seems better coached and should make some improvement this year. Best of luck to all teams.

Central should be able to win the Bull Run this year. George Mason is always a wild card as they can have kids 'move into their school district'. Strasburg is young, Clarke is bad, Madison Co is young.

I saw the Strother kid play last year. Seems like he has some potential. I liked his game.

Thanks for this and all the other reports I am seeing on the beginning stages of the basketball season. It is always fun, if maybe a little awkward, to see one sport end and another begin.

Around here, one of our local papers is doing a GREAT job so far covering the fact that basketball season is off and running, whereas the other one has not said WORD ONE about it so far, although some area teams have a game or two under their belts already. I won't call either paper by name, but hopefully this post will be seen by the right parties so that the other can come on board soon.
