Central can win it all, and it would not surprise me if they do. I had mentioned in another thread about how they are a complete team, that I have yet to find a weakness on and their dominance over Buffalo Gap last night provides further emphasis of that for me. Buffalo Gap won 6 games and were competitive in every game this year, never losing by more than 10 points, and they were completely shut down against the first unit and had a running clock most of the second half.
Their offense (Central) is tough for defensive coordinators to prepare for, as they'll line up and play smashmouth football between the tackles out of the I/Power I, then hit you with a sweep or reverse to #1 or #4 who are both really fast, then the QB #2 will connect with someone through the air. They've got a nice combination of speed, size, and toughness on that team. They have about a half dozen linebacker/h back type full grown men that can move and hit on that roster.
I think Lee can win this game but it will take winning a few matchups that are kind of a toss up to me right now, not throwing the ball near the Central ballhawk (#4), performing better on special teams, and forcing turnovers defensively, while limiting them offensively. Lee hasnt seen a team like Central yet this year, and I'm not sure that they have seen a team like Lee either. I see an absolute dogfight, with Lee possibly coming out on top if things go well.
Clanton is electric. I watched him walk down a Clarke RB (21) who was in the open field. Clanton ended up in front of him and saved a TD.I haven't seen Lee play with exception of highlights. I do know this - Central is going to play hard smash mouth football. These boys will hit you hard play after play. Central has massive team speed and if you're a passing team they will defend it very well. #4 Bright has 12 interceptions and with #1 Clanton (Super Fast) on the other side it will be a task for teams to throw the ball. Central has several RB's that run and run hard. The O-line and D-line's are huge and are aggressive. They also have a MAN in #44 Davis at Fullback....he is a beast and makes running plays look like rugby football. They will be ready and they will play hard. I just know this will be a great game and it should be one for the ages. Best of luck to all teams still in the mix. Go Big Blue!

Luray ran the ball right at them and it seemed to work,Luray beat them off the ball most of the night,no doubt it was the Bulldogs best game of the year.I haven't seen Lee play with exception of highlights. I knew he was fast, but I didn't realize just how fast until I saw his 80ish yard TD run vs Buffalo Gap last week. There is one RE Lee player in particular that has some wheels on him, but I think you may be right in that Clanton is likely faster than him. Here's to hoping he is able to outrun Clanton for a game-winning score for the Leemen haha...#1 Clanton most likely the fastest guy in the playoff. It will be a fun game to watch.

I doubt he can keep up with Taymon Cooke from Graham. I'd almost guarantee it and I haven't seen player mentioned. Cooke is legit 4.40 or faster in the 40.
Don't know either one, but fast is fast, and difference in track fast and football fast. And it sounds like nobody in state is as fast as that kid from Blacksburg
He must have transferred from Parry McCluer haha just kidding... for those that dont get this reference-- last year there was a big debate between some PM fans and some regulars claiming PM did/didnt have multiple players running sub 4.40 40sBeck is lightning, but I’ve seen Cooke, kid can absolutely fly. Someone correct me if I’m wrong, I think he ran a 4.37 40

I pulled my hamstrings reading these posts. The kid from Blacksburg ran 10.5, while the kid the year before from TC Williams ran either 9.9, 10.0, 10.1 something like world class fast. Whatever it was it was one of fastest in amateur history. I can't even dream of being that fast, and think he will only get better

Splitting hairs but Beck from Blacksburg ran a 10.41 when he won at the state meet and a 10.41 when he finished second in the country at the national meet.
If you hit them hard they will lay it on the ground. This one will come down to Lee being able to keep its poise and avoid turnovers. Prior to them playing Riverheads, I had read that they had trouble holding on to the ball, sometimes having as many as four turnovers per game. But on that night, they were a well-oiled machine and played a nearly perfect game. Central was pretty much the same way the next week.
So if Lee plays that well again, they can hold their own, but if they get caught up in the moment, I could see them making mistakes and Central capitalizing and maybe even winning easily. I think Central wins a close one, but anything is possible at this stage.
I just watched the first video clip of him on Hudl. He ran into a crowd of defenders, somehow managed to get through, and then left everyone in the dust. There is no angle you can take to catch this guy.Splitting hairs but Beck from Blacksburg ran a 10.41 when he won at the state meet and a 10.41 when he finished second in the country at the national meet.
Hang in there...I am only 5 seconds off the world record in the 40I'd take me ten minutes to run the 100m, can't imagine doing it in 10.5 seconds lolol
And with little chocolate donuts, you can shave off those 5 seconds and become the world class runner you were destined to be.Hang in there...I am only 5 seconds off the world record in the 40
