KQ,WP, and Riv win easily. Central Lun vs WC, depends on which WC team shows up, the one that lost to Altavista or the one that handily beat Altavista. I think Galax wins again even tho the 1st game was only 7-0. I think Narrows wins going away, their defense hasnt allowed a single point all season. As for region D I have no predictions because I have not seen 1 sec of any of their games.

While I like your potential championship matchup, there sure is discussion to be had. I think the kids that have come out and put in the work to make it to the playoffs deserve some talk about their games and the chance to advance past this week. Lots of scenarios where games could be flipped from the seeding.

Man I wish this board was as active as the SWVA one is with trash talk. There’s some good stuff over there and I know a few of those posters are over here too.
I learned today that apparently someone from GW does not think that the Narz Green Wave have any shot at all advancing past either of the Maroon teams. Fascinating stuff really, lol. And also no one in Region D has a chance to beat anyone from Region C, although they have represented 2 out of the last 3 years.
In all honestly a lot of these games are toss ups with a few exceptions of course. I have watched a lot of these teams play with NFHS and Facebook and depending on the matchup most of them have played pretty well all things considered. I do think there are 3 or 4 that are slightly overmatched but they do still have a punchers chance.

1D is down considerably. A 1D team representing the West would be a shock. Galax may not be as good as they have been but I don't see any team in 1D beating whoever wins 1C.
Holston has an electric QB tho, the kid is a serious playmaker.

I believe that Northumberland wins over King and Queen in Region A.

King and Queen is a great success story but Northumberland probably will win this game.

@uvacavs1 Kind of wondered about the K&Q/Northumberland game. And Rapp hasn’t performed as I was expecting this year but they should have a chance against WP too I would think.
@BigWinners the Holston kid is electric for sure. Lots of people are high on Burton too but these loss to Chilhowie to open the season threw water on that from the get go. I still think they are good enough to advance all due respect to PH as they are pretty good too.

I am puzzled by the GW/Galax game because the first one was back and forth mistakes until Galax finally put it together to score. Seen somewhere that the GW QB was a little banged up against Grayson Co so that won’t help their cause for sure. Narz should roll PM again but if they don’t I will question their claim to the west side title.

Riverheads should get by Altavista but Vista has more talent than their scores and win total show. Central/Wm Campbell is a toss up in my eyes based off of the video I have watched. Both can be extremely formidable but are prone to be “lost” on a few plays during the game.

Overall it looks like chalk with a couple of toss ups that several people agree on.

-I see Holston rolling through region D with relative ease on the back of the QB.

-Galax will roll GW in the 2nd match-up; along with Narz rolling PM (the first game was a sloppy wet mess and this game could be the same with weather expected....however, I think Narz cleans up the mistakes they made in the first matchup)
-Now Galax and Narz is going to be an absolute dog fight and I think Narz pulls it out in the end...Ive seen both multiple times and this is the year where I think Narz is better up front and has enough skill kids to control Galax.

-Riverheads will roll through B; Altavista may score once or twice....but probably not....Riverheads will score points on each possession so 40+ points.

-I think K&Q is on a roll, I see each of the region A match-ups being close games; but K&Q pull it out in the end...then have to travel to Riverheads and well.....

-Holston wont have anything for Narz (or Galax) both C teams will give Holston's QB a night to remember getting hit every play....just not enough around him to compete with either of those teams, Narz/Galax are far better than Holston up front (Grayson controlled them up front)

-Ummm yeah as much as I think Narz/Galax are solid football team....they cant beat nor do I think compete with Riverheads....they are just on a different level right now and probably the foreseeable future.

One small correction, If Riverheads wins they would travel to the Region A winner. And like I said in the previous post, I think a lot of these games might be closer with the requisite blowout or two occurring as well.

Riverheads would have to travel to KQ if those are the 2 teams.

In fact, if it is Riverheads and Northumberland, 1 seed Riverheads is still traveling to 4 seed Northumberland

I do not at all mean any disrespect to King and Queen and they certainly can win this game and might. If they do, I will pull for them. I just think that overall, NHS has more weapons.

Now, NHS definitely needs to have a great week of practice to continue working out the details which may be difficult while school is out for Easter Spring break. However, I assume K&Q is out as well so that should be a wash.

Yes, most people around Region A have been surprised at the lack of Rappahannock’s success. A lot of it has to do with they are missing several players who were not allowed to play as they were not in person school.

That game to me is a toss up.

There is a good possibility that I will get to see Riverheads in action since they have to travel to Region A.

I am afraid that whoever comes out of Region A will be completely demolished by Riverheads. I hope not but it is most likely.

From what I hear, which isn't much, Northumberland has the most talent in region A. I think a lot of the teams are young with West Point maybe being the youngest. I don't see any active West Point people on here to verify. Whoever stays healthy and wins the region will probably get the prize of hosting Riverheads. Of course, crazy things happen. Don't forget Covid is still a factor all of these teams are battling. I don't envy these coaches this year. What a mess they have had to deal with.

Right now (Tuesday) I'd say Region 1A is a toss up. West Point is the one team that has played the other 3. K&Q beat them by a TD in the rain, Rappahannock blew a 28-14 fourth quarter lead and lost to them 30-28 and Northumberland lost to them 10-6. K&Q beat Rappahannock 42-14 after it was a one TD game at halftime. Not sure if any of this has any meaning.

Seems like no one thinks Galax has a chance to beat Narrows this year and they may not but they both have games to win this weekend before that game can happen. Hopefully this will motivate Galax and they can pull off a few wins.

Not sure who all think that but for me the GW game was either an off day or they aren’t quite as good as last year (with all due respect to GW). I wouldn’t have had that game within two tds coming into this year. Narz has beat who was on their schedule so I can’t find fault in that. In my opinion Galax has to come out and execute in the GW game leaving no doubt they are a contender. Another close game there with little scoring and I actually would favor Narz in the next round.

I think we will have a game similiar to the last time Galax came to Narrows. But first things first, Galax has to deal with a GW squad that has talent and has already played them once. Narrows has to deal with PM squad that they've already played once and has players and a fanbase that play and act like they dislike Narrows more than the folks 5 miles down the road do. Lord knows what happened last time PM came to Narrows for a playoff game.

West Point is young. Graduated 14 Seniors i do beleive last year. This years roster has 5 seniors. 1 is a first year player and 2 others pretty much play on 1 side of the ball. We have alot of talent and that talent has exceeded expectations already. We have been dinged up with injuries and concussions and that's tough when you only dress out 19.
