in addition to Lafayette there are two other newbies that may have something to say: Goochland and George Mason in Region B.Petersburg has some serious weapons and will be really good this year. I am a huge fan of their quarterback Meziah Scott. He should be one of the top qb's in Class 3 if not the entire state for the next two years. Their first three Central District games are brutal and winning at least one of those contest is imperative to a good seed come playoff time. I usually lean heavily towards the region c and d as being the top dogs in class 3, but this season there are at least five teams who could be a force out of Region A. Lafayette (my favorite to win it all), Hopewell, Phoebus, Norcom, and Petersburg.

Scott has impressed me tremendously the past two years. Maturity shows on the field and off the field. I had a chance to speak to him earlier this year and it was like talking to a college player, not a young man just learning to drive.
