I added poll to the discussion post to keep all the talk in one spot. Good idea though i never thought about a poll lol
I picked Salem because that’s my team!! It’s gonna be extremely difficult and next to imposssible, but Salem has done the impossible before!!
See i respect the hell out of this realness.
I expect this to be a hard hitting game. This will be the 4th meeting between the 2 schools. They have not played since 79 when both programs were mediocre at best. Since then the programs have established 2 of the best programs in the state. After Saturday they will have 20 titles between them regardless of who wins. I have pulled for the Phantoms from a distance. To get over the hump called Hampton. They were finally able to do it in 2001 beating them 2x on their way to a state title. They really haven't looked back since and are on the fast track to catch Hampton's title record total.
Neither team will be in ah of the moment. I think Sherando 2013 and Kettle Run 2022 were. Granted they played an outstanding Dinwiddie team.
