The Granby Comets scored a run in every inning except the 4th inning and they remained undefeated while improving to 6-0 with an 11-4 Eastern District win over Lake Taylor. The Comets finished with 12 hits with four players producing a multi-hit game.

The number two batting slot was very productive for the Comets with Dylan Cupp and Hunter Cole combining to hit for the cycle while driving in seven runs. Cupp drove in a run during all three of his plate appearances with a 1st inning homerun, a 2nd inning infield single that scored Boyd Leeman and a 3rd inning bases loaded walk. Cole took over the #2 batting slot and added four RBI with a double and a triple with the final blow clearing the bases.

The bottom third on the Comets lineup was on fire too scoring seven runs while reaching base eight times. Trent Hanchey went 2 for 3 with two runs scored. Leadoff hitter Xavier Anderson reached base four times including two bunt singles while scoring two runs.

Granby used six pitchers with only Michael Jones throwing more than one inning. Michael Cribb struck out the side in his only inning and was credited with the win for being the most effective reliever. Kris Artis started the game and had two strikeouts and James Deloatch threw the final inning and he was the only reliever not to give up a hit.

Lake Taylor got two hits from cleanup hitter Jack Wood and Tyree Kelley. Wood also had a stolen base and score two runs.
