First off congrats to Lancaster on the big win. Good luck to LHS, Coach Rice and the local Neck/Middle Peninsula area against Eastside.

Congrats to Northumberland Basketball on a fantastic season - 1st time in State Final Four in over 20 years!

After a banner year and many exciting games against rival Lancaster, last night, NHS looked like a totally different team and the game was sadly a dud by the Indians.

What a shame too as Northumberland and Lancaster packed the very nice KW Gym of 1500 seating. Everyone was ready for a wild one and it just never happened from the Indian side.

It was 10-10 in the 1st, next thing I knew, it was 24-10 and it never got better for the Indians.

NHS missed lots of layups etc as well as the long balls. I am guessing NHS shot like 18% or so. LHS' #21 was rocking and had maybe half of the LHS points.

Still great year for NHS basketball. Very proud Indian season!

(Great year for NHS Football and Basketball, had a state champ in Wrestling, place in CC, now time for Spring Sports as the Indians hope to be quite strong in baseball, softball, boys and girls soccer, and track and field as well.)

Lastly, props to KWHS on a superbly run contest. It was well planned out, preparation was quite evident, and all details were accounted for (as far as I could tell).

Game was completely full it seemed (1,500 plus) and went very efficiently. I heard many Northumberland folks comment on how well the event was organized and run.
