Congrats to the Coaching staff on the third State Championship at Altavista and #4 overall Rustburg 2000 Them guys have been together for a long time and there the best at what they do.They put in alot of hours threw the season and alot of hard work . Altavista is blessed to have the best two Mike Coaches in the State Mike Scharnus and Mike Cartolaro I want to thank you guys on what yall do, and the coaching staffs for both sports. Both coaches will be in the VHSL hall of fame one day and they have earned it.Coach Scharnus took over the Altavista program in 2007 and turned that program around big time and now has won three state Championship at Altavista .Altavista was a joke of a program in football it was really bad and to see what them guys have accomplished is unreal. Thank you both coaches for making this Colonel fan always have a smile and something to look forward to every year. 09 ,13,14 football state champs 04,13,14 basketball state champs. Go Colonels!!!!
