Court Rules That JUCO Players Keep Four Years of NCAA Eligibility

This will decrease opportunities for high school athletes to get scholarships out of high school. This + portal is a bad combination for HS athletes and encourage [necessitate] more movement.

With about 120 juco fb programs [assuming 40 players per roster] is just about 5,000 players. The NCAA just limited roster sizes to I believe 105.

Nebraska, I believe carries 150 or so on their roster. 25's really getting the short end of the stick. This will change the calculus of prospective college athletes.

That is not what that means at all, by the way. It's merely a temporary injunction for a single player. The issue is not decided whatsoever. Not surprised some pea-brained schmuck from Kentucky couldn't be bothered to actually read the article he took this from when he rushed to tweet.

Shame on you if you think this ruling will be a one off.

NCAA will have to change their by-laws for it not to be otherwise everyone will have to sue to get an injunction. This one is a lot murkier than the other lawsuits that have been happening. There's absolutely nothing saying a judge won't turn around and say "lol, no".

I've no doubt a bunch of unbelievably stupid players would waste two years of their time in JUCO and then attempt 4-5 in college but this isn't going to be some major thing regardless.

The bubble on this is going to pop. If you aren't blind you can see it ready to happen already. These kids haven't magically figured out how to beat the system, the system is just taking its time figuring out where on the players' neck they want to put their boot back down, same as it does with the rest of us.

Lol I hear you. Stay tuned.....

I hope it is a one off. My perspective was not that kids would take advantage of 6 yrs, but that colleges would "prefer" a juco over a graduating hs senior thus exacerbating the current "problem"
