It’s confitmed - Bruton now with only 11- 15 or so healthy players will not play the Div 4 opponents this year but only the Div 2 and 3 opponents . That means they will not play Lafayette, Smithfield, Warhill, Jamestown or Grafton. Jamestown will take the forfeit. Lafayette and Smithfield are quoted as wanting to schedule another game. Good luck on that effort at this point. Lafayette was to play at Bruton on 9/28, our 4 th game. Any takers out there?? I assume Lafayette will travel about anywhere. Really time for the Bay Rivers District to replace Bruton with another team but who?? If no substitute game can be found I would guess all will take the forfeit as it gives them the points, though only rider points if they win 1 or more of their 5 games they play. I expect an 0-5 season.
