The last play in the Dallas game Sunday night, a rule was used that obviously was not know by a ton of people. The ball has to be set by the white hat or headlines man before a legal snap can occur. Is there a NFHS rule like this? Thanks in advance.

In all levels of football (peewee, NFHS, NCAA, NFL), the ball must be spotted by an official before a snap can take place. That official is the umpire 9/10 times. The Referee does spot the ball sometimes as well during ball rotations, but usually the umpire (or the center judge in NCAA).The last play in the Dallas game Sunday night, a rule was used that obviously was not know by a ton of people.
