Thanks Mike. DR has the potential to be the best 2a team in the state. Thing is, they're very inconsistent as stated in the preview's article. They always have very very good athletes, but the talent can't seem to mesh and produce championships. Devin Stone is the best athlete in Danville/Pittsylvania Co and Cam Hunt is as tough as I've seen at the running back position at the 2a level. They have strong lineman and they are well coached. If Brooks can half way lead this offense at QB then I predict DR to be in at least the final 4 in 2a. DR has had some scary good teams in the past, but QB play has hurt them every year. I see anywhere from 10-0 to 8-2. With Gretna having just as much promise, I'll have to say that Gretna is their biggest threat. No disrespect to Appo, but Gretna is DR's kryptonite. That's a big one in Pittsylvania County when both teams are on the top of their game. Also, Zemar Anderson may be the meanest LB in Southside VA, even though he played DE in the past. Aggressive, very good kid, but will knock your block off. I can't wait to see how they do against GW Friday. Btw.. I'm picking it close. GW 28 DR 27. Catz could have a very very special year and I'm talking about a trip to Salem if they play to their potential.
