They will, question is will they out point Manchester if they lose Friday? Varina would have to win out to be a 2 seed.
Very weak schedule! They beat a badly overrated Henrico team for their best win.
Deep Run barely beat PH Ashland.. Varina beat PH last night by 38. Manchester, Varina and HS are the top 3 teams in 5B.
They are decent, but... they won't survive the 2nd round of playoffs.
The “Big 3” will ALL have a 2nd half running clock on them. He’s not as good as the Atlee QB,but he is good. Unfortunately,DR will be a top 3 seed,forcing one of the big 3 to the 4 seed. Their best 2 wins are PH and Henrico! Smh
It’s nowhere near good enough for Man,Varina,or especially HSHS! They haven’t faced ANY legit teams this entire season.
I'm hoping to come see DR play in playoffs as i have a nephew on the team. Too many pokers in the fire to pull away from Appo games in my area. I've noticed in a film the left quard is pulling back after snap and moving over to the right of the right quard often. Is this not making a big hole for the defense to exploit for sacks?

Whichever is the team they face in the Semis will beat them badly! I’m figuring they will face Manchester,and that’s gonna get ugly fast!
As of today i think first round would be against freeman, 2nd round against highland.
They would have to be the 4 seed to face HSHS. HS will be the 1 seed unless something unforeseen happens the last 3 games. I’m not sure if a 10-0 DRun will outpoint a 9-1 Manchester,but I’m sure they’d outpoint a 8-2 Varina for the 3 seed. Lotta football to go,but it looks like

if Springs did lose do Varina... That would really throw a wrench in the seedlings... 3 one loss teams that all beat each other head to head. Would a 10-0 deep run out point all 3 in that scenario?
I don’t know,but HSHS will have beaten 2 9-1 teams. Manchester will have beat 1. Varina beaten 1. I’m thinking....even with the 1 loss,HSHS’s SOS may still outpoint a 10-0 team as long as they defeat CForge. I’m quite sure a 9-1 Varina would outpoint them too thanks to their win over LT. Not sure about Manchester. The Dominion district teams may have hurt them.
Varina is not beating HSHS,so this will be a moot scenario.
Lol. I hope HSHS has someone other than the QB and punt returner step up for that game then. This is a different HSHS team this year, and a different Varina team. What happened in week 1 is irrelevant now. Confident not cocky though right?!
They have 11 D1 players! I’m sure they’ll be more than ready for a Varina team that gave up 40 to Manchester!

My point is....if Varina gave up 40 to THAT offense with an average passer...what are they gonna do with a TRUE bigger & faster dual threat QB?
I can promise ANYONE....Varina is not scoring 35 on HSHS! ZERO chance of that!
Not counting chickens! The post started with,if both HSHS and Maury win out. That’s why I worded my post like I did. If HSHS runs the table they WILL HAVE beaten those teams. No guarantees! A loss by Varina to HSHS May drop Varina into a first round matchup with Manchester!

No they weren’t! There was only 2 TDs scored by Manchester in the extra frame! Varina’s defense couldn’t stop an average at best passing game! They haven’t faced a good team since losing that one!
