Hey, any help is appreciated. Im assuming that Dinwiddies field is at their high school. Im going to try to make tomorrow nights game. I always assume everyone plays at their highschool but Ive been fooled a few times through the years. Thanks for the help.

@Liberty2007 Actually the football field is at the middle school which is directly across the street from the high school. I would try to get there between 6 and 630 for best parking.

Yeah, I know what you are saying about "sometimes not at the high school". Two that pop into my mind are Hopewell and James Monroe. Jamestown is another one.

Like GenFan said, the field is directly behind the Middle School, which is directly across Courthouse Road from the new high school. You won't have any problems, you can easily see the glow from the stadium lights.

But, like he said, I would try to get there around 6:00. BTW, kickoff is at 7:00.

Travel safe.

Clarke's field isn't at their high school either. It's at the old high school that is now an elementary school, about 2 blocks away from the new high school built a few years ago.

It took forever for us to find Porterfiled Park in Orange County. It's pretty cool because it's right in the middle of the town of Orange but it is not at the high school.

I wanted to take a moment guys from Dinwiddie and say how much I enjoyed the game last night. I will definitely try to make the 45 minute trip back next weekend. Ive been around 1A, 2A and 3A football the last 4 years and it amazed me how much better the game was played last night. It was much better football and more electric than what I was used to even though I have greatly enjoyed the last four years. When we lost in the playoffs last week, we were trying to decide who we wanted to see play last night, Im so happy we decided on Dinwiddie. Ive heard a lot about the team for the last five years or so and I must say Im sold. I had not been to a place like that, everything was nice, most people by a long shot that I have ever seen at a high school game and I am just guessing that you may even have bigger crowds than that. Plus I have never been to a game where a team wins by 40 and felt like the other team was a great team as well. I thought last week when we lost, it was over for me, this being my kids senior season that it would be tremendously sad. I must say I was invigorated last night and astonished actually. Just hard to believe that that kind of football was being played only 45 minutes from me and I had never seen it. Again, I enjoyed it, look forward to seeing it again and best wishes gonig forward!

Wow, thanks for all of the kind words. I speak for all of the fans and the team when I say thank you for making the trip to our humble little stadium.

There is no doubt that Dinwiddie and Monacan play an exciting style of football. Others do too, and when it is working, it's just a blast to watch.

That was about an average crowd at Dinwiddie. Certainly there have been some smaller ones this year, but this wasn't the largest crowd this year. Probably about the third largest. Monacan brought about as many as any team has this year. Last week, I only counted 52 Courtland fans.

Dinwiddie travels well too. I dare to say that we equaled or outnumbered the home fans at every away game this year, (which was 6). We are not in the same league with many schools as far as fan attendance, but we do come out in pretty good numbers.

If you ever come to Dinwiddie, and you have a bad experience, please let me know. If there is any way it can be addressed, it will be, I assure you. I'm just glad you took the time to come down and enjoy the game.

BTW, a bunch of us fans will gather around 4:30 to 5:00 Friday, at a restaurant about 12 minutes from the field. You and your son, and anyone else you would like to bring, are cordially invited to join us. As is anyone else out there. I'll post details latter in the week.

Thanks for the generous invite. I will have to see how this holiday week plays out. So far my little group of 2 has grown to 3 as I have one more that wants to see what we got so excited about. Really looking forward to this weeks match up. Thanks for the kind response!

The more the better. Dinwiddie vs. Lake Taylor is a state championship type matchup with numerous future D1 players. Would love to have you and your friends share some good football talk as an appetizer and a great game as the main course.
