District of Champions?

Is the Seminole District the only district in the state in which all members have won at least one football State Championship?

Amherst, Brookville, E.C. Glass, JF, LCA, and Rustburg all have multiple championships and Heritage and Liberty(Bedford) each have one respectively.

M7, Union (PV/Appy), RV (Clintwood), GC have titles while I believe maybe Jonesville (current Lee) and one of Wise/Pound (Central) may have a title as well.

Jonesville 1988, about 30 years ago over Strasburg in OT. I was at that game. My uncle was a longtime fan and graduate of Strasburg High. Also, one of the hardest hitting football games I've ever seen. Jonesville's uni's were nearly identical to the old Pitt Panthers.

Wise- can't remember if that school was/is JI Burton or JJ Kelly regarding location. JJ Kelly-1981 state champions. JI Burton-1972 state champions

That Jonesville team was coached by Head Coach John Cooke....After winning that title at Jonesville, the school closed. Coach Cooke then went to Roanoke Catholic, where he also won a state championship in 1994. To my knowledge, he's still the only coach in the state of Virginia to win a football state title at a public school AND private school...
