Thoughts on this weekends games. How many of the higher seeds get knocked off this weekend if any?

If Essex isnt on their A game Colonial Beach is definitely capable of the upset.

I think Honaker and Haysi will both have their hands full this weekend. Both games out east should be interesting as well. A lot of people have been wanting the PM and Altavista match up. Looking forward to seeing how it all plays out.

Agreed there TrojanFan0587. Essex fans may be tad nervous after witnessing the Rapp game. Much of the credit goes to Rapp's play, of course, but Essex came out with little energy. Wasn't until the Hammond/Broaddus TD late in the third that the energy level went up. Plus our top rusher went out early in that game and maybe doubtful for Friday. Also, passing game was way out of sync. Dropped balls, miscommunication, no slants & so on...Several people said what is going on out there.

Boys best work on that timing etc. cause you know CB will be studying the tapes & will be full of confidence. Both teams should be hyped for this one & nice crowd should help the Trojans as well. Big Thanksgiving crowd and warmer weather should be a plus for the home team.

As for the others, PM can pull off big upset especially if they come out like they did in Montross.

Don't know much about out West yet...

Some out West see a Galax upset over Haysi, but many thought that last year as well so who knows. Galax did play well against Giles but got rolled by Altavista the week before.

GW at Honaker- should be a good one, but I would think Honaker should pull it out (just a guess though).

Should be some great games.

Yeah, I have to agree here. Essex came out flat with no real emotion to start the game. There were a lot of fundamental mistakes that should not happen this time of year. If Essex plays like that against Colonial Beach, there is a good chance they will loose that game. Hopefully we get our lead rusher back.

Haysi goes down to Galax this year.

Honaker beats GW in a close game.

Essex will be tested by CB and may just fall.

It's a shame that PM has to play Altivista because I think they are the 2nd best team still in the playoffs. (East & West).

Is anyone writing this shit down?

CB over Essex - If CB secondary can cover
AltaVista over PM- might be a different story if PM had a passing game and a secondary
