Being the HUGE March Madness fan that I am, I usually don't attend baseball games until after that. But today since it was pretty warm, I rolled down to Riverheads to watch the Big Red take on Wilson, assuming I would get back home for most of the action, even if I had to leave early to do it.
So I "thought" I was leaving a disappointing Riverheads loss when I left with the score 11-4 in favor of the Hornets after five innings. But I just read on the Shenandoah District website that RHS pulled out a 14-13 win. So PLEASE someone who was there tell us how in the heck THAT happened!!!
As for the part that I saw, Wilson hit three-run homers in both the third and fifth innings as they broke away from a 5-4 lead. Also a huge RHS fielding error cleared the bases to seemingly put the visitors in solid control. But the Big Red obviously did something right to manufacture 10 runs in just two innings. Sounds like I missed an all-time classic ending.
But as I probably don't have to tell you guys, March Madness has been pretty wild too!!!
