DR Alumni Trey Edmunds make Saints 53-man NFL Roster!

Congrats to Dan River alumni Trey Edmunds on making Saints 53 man roster! The former Parade All-American, Virginia Tech grad and Maryland football player, is to believe to be the 1st Wildcat to make the NFL.

I am truly blessed to have worked with Trey and his family in football, basketball, and track and field. He's one of the most humble players I've ever coach and though dealing with injuries, recoveries, graduating early, transferring to Maryland, not getting drafted, and going thru this preseason, Trey overcame and achieved his dream!

YESSSSSSSIR! Congrats Trey! Maaaan if this kid hadn't gotten injured at Tech, he would've been a first rounder. Good football player, even greater person! So happy for the former River Rat (I'm a Tunstall boy so I had to throw that in there ) ! I don't know him personally but Trey and I were both in the same grade so I've watched this young man progress as an athlete over the past 8 years. He's a hard worker and a high character person. Rell and Maine are next up!

WOW??! I was watching the VT game today and didnt even know he was on the Saints. All I remember is he was with Maryland U. I didnt even know he was trying out for Saints. Good to see a kid in the 434 that I have watched play football and basketball on a team in NFL.
