It is early but here is just a comment or two on what I have read so far, since I have not SEEN anything.

East Rock has only played one game and that was at Page. So they are forgiven if that one was a little closer than anticipated. I still see them as the team to beat this year.

Lee looks like it has not lost its defensive prowess, holding the Gap down in the 30s and Stonewall to only 29 last night. So their success will depend on whether the offense is up to their usual standards.

Wilson has been blowing people out but how strong has their schedule been????

Stuarts Draft is up to its old tricks again, topping the century mark twice already. It is what it is.

Riverheads starts action this weekend, traveling to Stonewall on Friday, and East Rock on Saturday, followed by a trip to Luray next Wednesday. On paper that looks like a 2-1 start before opening at home against Lee on the 21st.

Page has been putting up some big numbers and as indicated, held their own against East Rock. Too early yet to assess their overall strength.

Buffalo Gap is the surprise team so far, winning their first four games before Lee brought them down to earth. Nevertheless, spirits have to be high in Bisonland.

Stonewall and Luray look like they will struggle this year, although the Generals already own a home win over the Dogs.

Actually Gap scored 52 against Lee - who seems more of well balanced team this year, as opposed to the past few years where they depended so much on Darius George and Jarvis Vaughan.

But nice analysis as usual - always makes for good reading!

My bad. Thought I remembered it as a 50s to 30s game but you are entirely correct, it was a 70s to 50s game.

Page boys won last night, defeating Strasburg at home, for their 1st win of the season. Hopefully this gets them back on track as they make the long trek to Buffalo Gap to face the much improved Bison on Friday night.
