Essex/Bruton Scrimmage

I didn't get to make it down to the scrimmage but was told 2 different stories. One was Essex 3 tds to Bruton 1 and 2nd story was Essex 4 tds to Bruton 1. I guess we'll know the real story tomorrow when the Rappahannock Times come out.

I always look forward to the Rappahannock Times football previews for the local teams. Great job by Chris Rose each year.
I can't wait to see how Bruton looks against Riverheads in their scrimage on the 24th .
Riverheads looks really small and a shell of last years team . Worst lookin bunch of no talent that I can remember at the school . Going to be a long season ! Go Big Red !!!!!!

I like how you down talk your team. Lol. Not buying it. Lol. From what I was told, Bruton is a young team with a new head coach. If your team is small and all that jazz, they still should be able to handle Bruton due to Riverheads running what they run since the creation of the Earth. Bruton might be learning a new system since they have a new coach.
Not selling anything , lol , They just don't look very big or fast to me ! I got my first look at on Sat. , and imo , they have a long way to go . I will be shocked if they can get it done this year . I will be there , good or bad on every Friday night . I hope they can prove me wrong ! Go Big Red !!!!!!!!!!!
I feel ya Xcross. I'm the same. Good or bad I'm there. I suffered a torn meniscus a few weeks ago. Just a minor rip. The dr. asked when do I want to do surgery to repair it. I looked at Essex football schedule to see when the bye week was and scheduled it for their Sept. 22 bye week. That way I won't miss a game. Hahahahaha!!!
I would like to see a rematch of Riverheads and Essex this season . Last year wasn't a true test with your team having a sub-par season . Your speedster going down just before that game made it even more lopsided . Good luck this season and hope the kids stay injury free . Go Big Red !!!!!!!!
According to the Rappahannock Times, Essex scored 5 times to Bruton's 1. I was told and the newspaper says Bruton scored on its 1st play of its 1st series but Essex D shut them down the rest of the scrimmage. I was told Bruton scored on a pass due to blown coverage by Essex.

Bruton doesn't scrimmage Riverheads next. They scrimmage Northampton on August 18 according to their schedule on rschooltoday
Looks like Bruton has bailed on Big Red ! Called the school and they say it's a NO GO . Might be the only way Riverheads wins this season , by forfeit .
Didn't Bruton have that kid Doucet a couple years ago who was all world and then they came to riverheads and got spanked by 30+?

Went to JUCO at Lackawanna and then spent 2016 season at OU, but I just googled him and it said he announced that he was transferring last spring. Not sure where he landed.
