Essex Titans... 2014 Pee Wee Super Bowl Champions!!!!

Congratulations to the Essex Titans and coaches for winning the Super Bowl today. I think the score was 20-6 over Rappahannock's pee wee team. They finished the season undefeated. Great job fella's!!!!

King William's Varsity Pee Wee team (7-8 ur olds) will be playing for the Metro Youth Football Championship next Saturday. The Metro is made up of a majority of Richmond area teams with a few rural teams as well. As you might expect the Richmond area teams usually win the majority of the championships throughout the years. But the KW youth program had a successful year. 2 division winners, 4 teams made it to the quarterfinals and two made it to the semis with our Pee Wees playing for it all next Saturday. No KW youth team has won a MYFL title since 1992.

Playing against those Richmond schools and still being able to compete is a good thing. Essex teams play in the Rappahannock River Youth Football League. The teams are Essex, Caroline,Northumberland, Colonial Beach, Richmond Co., Westmoreland, Fredericksburg and King George. Essex's jv and varsity little league teams had good seasons as well.

I have a co-worker/friend( Herman Shelton) from Essex who now lives in K.W. He's an asst. coach on one of K.W's L.L teams. His son Kaleb is 9 and is the QB for the team that he's asst. coaching. I always tell him when his son is about to go up to high school j.v...make sure he's moved back to Essex by then lol. Good luck to KW's varsity pee wee team this Saturday!!!!

Yea I know the kid you're talking about and he's a very good athlete. He played for our jv midget team and they made it to the semifinals but lost this past weekend to a very good team. They still had a great season and nothing to be ashamed of.
