False start on a PAT

I have always understood that false start is a deadball penalty. The play is blown dead, five yards are marked off and the down is replayed. Is this not the case on a point-after kick attempt?

It is, but illegal formation is a live ball foul and the signal is the same (well, almost -- most people don't realize the difference).
