The Henrico Warriors outscored the Varina Blue Devils 25-14 in the opening quarter and never looked back in cruising to a 79-59 victory to stay unbeaten.
Moving to 4-0 overall, Henrico was led by the dynamic senior duo of Gus Rowland and De'Monte Buckingham, the reigning two-time State Player of the Year in Group 5A.
Rowland scored 25 points with three makes from three-point landed and handed out seven assists for the defending State Champs. Meanwhile, Buckingham - headed to Richmond to play his College Basketball - scored 22 points on an efficient 8-of-16 from the field.
Richard Sanders, a 6-foot-7 transfer to the Warriors from George Wythe, posted a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds while also tallying three steals.
Varina, which dropped to 1-3 overall, was coming off a double-overtime loss to L.C. Bird earlier in the week. Jhalen Thomas' 17 points led the Blue Devils.
