Flint Hill improved to 8-0 with a 54-21 win over rival Potomac School in a game that wasn't as close as the 33 point victory margin. The Huskies led 34-0 at halftime and 41-0 before sitting most of the starters the rest of the game.

The Huskies took the lead early and never looked back. Player of the year candidate Jordan Houston had a relatively quiet afternoon after scoring the games 1st touchdown on a 23-yard touchdown run. He still finished with over 100 yards rushing. The next time Flint Hill got the ball, teammate Mark Lewis broke free for a 73-yard touchdown run and a 14-0 lead.

Quarterback Miles Thompson then took over the offense, throwing three touchdown passes before the end of the half. He completed 3 of 3 passes including a 4-yard pass to Lewis to start the 2nd quarter. Later in the quarter, Thompson found Justice Ellison for a touchdown before throwing a 57-yard touchdown strike to Jamarian Hawkins with only 23 seconds to go before the end of the 1st half.

Meanwhile, the Flint Hill defense limited Potomac to only 35 yards in 32 plays including allowing only one completion in 12 pass attempts for eight yards. The Huskies front line of Bonae Swain-Price, Joe Worman and Xavier Formey batted away several pass attempts and controlled the line-of-scrimmage.

Thompson completed a second touchdown pass to Mark Lewis on the Huskies 1st pass of the 2nd half to start the running clock with their 1st possession of the 2nd half. He also scored on a 34-yard run to finish with four passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. Jaylin Hertz completed the Huskies scoring with a 13 yard run.

The Huskies clinched a share of the MAC championship and need only to defeat Maret to win the MAC title outright. They should retain their #1 VISAA D1.

The loss may have damaged the Panthers chance for a playoff spot. Potomac School scored all their points in the final 14 minutes. Quarterback Carter Bosch completed touchdown passes to Preston Bacon and Nash Lougee while backup quarterback Jaylen Tyson connected with bacon for a 59 yard touchdown pass.
