I'm hearing that HSHS will be playing Avalon HS (Wheaton, Md) at HSHS on August 30th. Then, the following week, we are @ Oscar Smith.... I believe HS's schedule is finally set. The toughest schedule in Virginia!!!

All games are also road games correct due to the field construction?

Some of the games “MAY” be at HSHS. The field construction is not due to start til after the season starts. HSHS “May” play Avalon(MD)AT HSHS,but not sure after that. Hoping to play North Stafford and Meadowbrook at HSHS. Smith IS at Smith! The 4 game span of NS,Henrico,Page(NC)and Manchester I believe will all be “road” games. The last 2 between CForge(away game) and Varina (playing at Henrico) won’t be fun either. This schedule is brutal!

Latest word is that construction will not begin until some time in October. Plus there are lots and lots of trees along Airport drive that need to be cleared out before any actual construction starts. We may be able to use the field for at least the first half of this season. Next year, what is considered to be HSHS home games will be played at Varina or Henrico.

The toughest public schedule in recent memory, and I don't think they even needed Avalon to make that claim. But, like them or not, Life Christian Academy's schedule is on another level.

Lol @ Life Christian wanting to be relevant. If a team plays another random FB factory in TX, but no one notices, did it even happen?
I have to agree. Playing a tough schedule but going 2-6,including getting absolutely embarrassed in a few of those games,is not impressive. Traveling all the way to Florida ,to play IMG, so they can drop 100 on you, Does nothing for your kids, and damn sure does not make your program relevant!

To be honest....I don’t think Life Christian would even have a winning record against Highland Springs’ schedule!

Do they play any VA public schools in 2019? Do they even try to schedule a few good ones?

The only VA public school team they played last year,Freedom, embarrassed them. They only play EC Glass this yr. I’m guessing the Freedom game made them second guess playing anyone good from VA this yr. Last yr they lost to Avalon, and Benedictine embarrassed Avalon 2 weeks later. Maybe LCA should stick to playing AA & A teams,or small private schools.

Now I wanna see the Glass game! Do they play both LCAs this year? Almost as confusing as Region 1A housing both Rappahannok HS & Rappahannock County HS.

Not that it matters,HSHS beat Life Christian at Liberty University 7v7 tournament in the Championship game. just a couple of weeks ago... With what HS has this year.... I would not be surprised if they go 15-0 again with their 5th straight title!!!! They are loaded to the gills and hard to find a weakness anywhere. We have an offensive line and a defensive line that just 2 years ago as sophomores they all won their 2nd State Title. Last year, The same offensive and defensive lines won their 3rd straight title and were ranked #1 ALL SEASON LONG!
This year, they are ALL Seniors. They are bigger and stronger and they really know how to play with each other..... given all of the speed, talent and strength these O and D lines have with them.... this years Springer edition really could be the best ever! Not to mention the Defensive backfield is lethal!...

I'm not sure if their schedule gives them relevancy, but my point is their schedule is brutal. My guess is they return all of their players and this season and next would be the time to see how they stack up. I can see them winning maybe 4-5 of their games this year.

I disagree on this... I think Life Christian will be much better this year as they were mostly underclassmen last year. But do agree with you that they would not beat HSHS. Their schedule is so tough they may very well go 2-6 but will be a much better football team though
