For Tuscarora fans

Since this the first time these two teams have played I thought I would help with some basics.
1. It's a three hour 15 minute drive from Leesburg to Salem. Unfortunately almost all of the trip is on 81. Therefore expect delays.
2. The game will be at Salem Stadium which is not on the Salem High School Campus. There is a small stadium in front of the school, but that is used for other sports. Yes people have gone to the wrong stadium. Go to the Talifero complex where the civic Center and Minor league baseball stadium are.
The game will be played on field turf.
3. Salem is not in Roanoke. It is an independent city of 25,000 neighboring Roanoke. There are four elementarys, one middle school, and one high school in the School system.
4. Great places to eat on Main Street Salem. Mac and Bob's, Macadoos, All Sports, Anthony's, and Mama Maria's to name a few.
5. Have a safe trip

Does the Lions club handle the concessions? Or is that just for the finals? If it's the Lions club, eat elsewhere!!!!

Salem’s concessions isn’t very good. Food is bland. Got a hot dog last week.. Boiled the dog and the bread was soggy and wet. Kettle Corn is second to none but is sold by an outside vendor.

Lots of Salem fans tailgate before game. No need for concessions.
Earlier in the year Chic Filet was selling sandwiches, but I don't know if they still are..

was there for last night's game. yes its the Lion's club running it (on the visitor's side anyway). it wasnt great last night. no chik-filet last night either. or pizza.

Several outside venders will probably be there Saturday. Chick-fil-A is usually at the game.

Hate stadium food. Can't believe this thread has devolved to a conversation about stadium food. Tailgate or go to lunch before game. Heck best cheese steak in SW Virginia is a quarter of a mile from the stadium at a whole in the wall called Cheese Steak factory (also have great jerk chicken). Food is irrelevant at the stadium. What matters is how well you can see the game and the atmosphere.
