Fort Chiswell dominated the entire game, it could have been even worse. Great comeback after the loss against Galax last week.

Losing to Galax is excusable, but how good is The Fort? It's good they got the win tonight but Tazewell proabably only dressed what, around maybe 18-19 players? With the majority of that being freshman and sophomores. They're 2 big playmakers (QB & WR) were both lost last week for the season.

Not meaning that as a slight to FC, just explaining Tazewell's situation. I know they beat George Wythe, but they seem to be a mess this year. It's hard to get a gauge, for me anyway, of what kind of team FC has?

Sounds like excuses to me. Why did Tazewell dress 18-19 players and Fort Chiswell dress much more? That tells me somwthing. Tazewell sucks something God Awful because if you dress 18-19 players at a Class 2A school, then......well.........you suck something awful and somethings wrong. Tazewell played Richlands much closer by the score last week on VPreps, so however much little credit you give FC for the Tazewell win, you have to give Richlands even less credit as Tazewell's score was much closer with Richlands than it was FC.

What's the exuses? Tazewell wasn't expected by many to win any games at all this year. New head coach. only 7-9 upperclassmen came out for 2 a days. Not really sure why other than Tazewell's football culture has just been awful over the last 7-8 years.

They only fielded 27 for picture day and they've lost that many to injuries and such since then. The radio announcer said they dressed 21 last week and lost their QB and WR to injury so I figured 18-19 playing this week? I wasn't there so that's why I put it in question form.

Tazewell's leading rusher and receiver as well as the QB are all freshman and they've held their own and put up better numbers than you would expect for 14-15 year olds. Their freshman class as well as the current 8th grade class is very talented and big in numbers. The players that are out seem to be buying into the coach, so with the talent coming up & the numbers they'll add by replacing 3 seniors with 15 freshmen (plus I'm sure more upperclassme will come out next year that didn't this year) Tazewell should rebound and put a respectable team out in 2-3 years. But this year it is what it is.

Tazewell took Richlands into the 4th quarter last week only down 7-0, and that says more about Richlands than it does Tazewell. This week without the QB and receiver (who also start on D) i figured that Fort would roll. So again, I don't know what the excuses are you were talking about? I pointed out that Fort shouldn't be too high on this win because Tazewell is basically a JV team playing a varsity schedule.

Is Fort a good team? I don't know. That's why I was asking. I'm trying to figure it out now before I drive to Max Meadows next week to watch them play the G-Men.

Still sounds like excuses and definitely in the realm of a novel.

Tazewell? Not good now. I've explained why they aren't. So, Do you know if Fort would be considered good team? Because that's what I'm asking?

I thought it was little league night and they let them boys play after the ceremonies. I did see a pink elephant last night. Fort actually threw the ball, I bout fell off them damn bleachers watching that ball fly threw the air, and and they scored on it. I think things are starting to open up a bit at the old fort. Well shit, my wife just reminded me. It was only one pass. It’s kinda funny when you think about it, they will run one play over and over if it doesn’t work. When something does work, you better pay close attention to it because you want see it again all night. Well folks, y’all have a great weekend and you might just see me here next weekend.

Fort has good talent and could be and probably should be, undefeated. I had heard we are trying to get back to last years team. Coaching must be fun at The Fort. I just wondering who the kid will be next year. Y’all pioneers know what I’m talking about. Can’t fault them boys doing what their told. I will say this, we have great kids because they do what them coaches tell them. Even when they know the shit ain’t gonna work. LoL!! Keep up the hard work boys.

I answered your questions about FC. They could be considered "better than Richland" this year. Tazewell just played em back to back. One game was much more competitive than the other.

Tazewell is like the forgotten middle child between Richlands and Graham.

When they combined most of Pocahontas HS with Tazewell it was thought that the Bulldogs would benefit greatly and they did benefit that 1st season (2008) but for reasons I don't know that success was a one season occurrence.

The majority of the students from Pocahontas did go to Tazewell at first but now a days probably around 90% that live in the Pocahontas area are going to Graham

Anyone could look at a box score and figure that but there's more to it. Like I said, Tazewell lost their 2 best players and they literally cannot replace them due to numbers.

Fort Chiswell very well may be better than Richlands this year but it's hard to decipher when they've only played Tazewell as a common opponent. I guess I'll know more about both teams in the next two weeks since they are Graham's next two opponents.

Don't know about FC, Tazewell, or much of them other than Richlands. Rchlands ain't as good this year. I got the Gmen coming out of the thick of things out west. Don't know about Regions yet and havent looked. I don't like it though. To many final four quality teams gone in 3rd round, especially with Goochland and Poqouson. Both are best of the East, but only one advances to state semis if I'm reading it right.

Take a jab how I please. Will spell Richlands how I choose. I'm not sure of the spelling due to Richlands choking like a chicken in a thunderstorm over the years.

Oh boy. Watch out, y’all. We’ve got a keyboard warrior over here.

Nice try at another jab. Too bad I’ve heard those same things for years so it doesn’t really bother us anymore. Oh, and while we’re at it, let’s go ahead and talk about “recruiting”, holdbacks and long cleats. Did I miss anything? I’m sure you’ll let me know.

Watch out now, we have a Richlands toolkit boy who didn't see a post praising his team, so he responds in frustration. You have won what, 2 games? As for long cleats and recruiting, I have no idea what you speak of other than foolish babble. It's better to deal with the here and now, and that tells me, you have 2 wins, and if you do turn it around, it's nearly a given you lose late in the playoffs. The poster asked about FC. I gave a comparison and pointed out that FC destroyed Tazewell much worse than Richlands and that Bothered You. Richlands wasn't praised and being the toolkit you are, ya got mad because you aren't used to that. There was no "jab." FC beat Tazewell far worse than Richlands. That actually happened. Come back to reality; otherwise, there is medication that can fix your problem.

P.S. The Watermen also helped you perform a great choke act roughly 7 years ago.

And you are entitled to your opinion
Often teams that are better coached, beat teams with better talent. IMO that is. Our OC should not be allowed to call himself that. Kids watch film on their own and I’m thinking coaches don’t watch it at all. We have the pieces to have won every game, IMO and probably yours too. LoL!!

Lol!! We will just have to agree to disagree on that being my opinion
