At the game yesterday i heard i few fort chiswell people say that they are looking for a new head coach. What happened to the first year guy, and who are some candidates for the job.
All I can say is, Colley at Haysi is one heck of a coach. I hope he lands the job at the consolidated school over Mullins @ Clintwood. Both are good, but Colley seams to rebound every year changing up for the talent he has, Excellent Coach!
Word is Colley will be AD since he is about to retire. But year in year out he is probably the best active coach in SW VA. A state title has eluded him but taking his team to the state semi's 5 times in the past 20 years is pretty good. The Clintwood coach has a state title but I think they only have been in the state semi's maybe 2 or 3 times over the past 20 years.
Talking to some people at the game from fort chiswell told me this. I know one guy is a parent, his son was a senior. They said it was a sure thing. I am not sure how reliable those guys were.
I agree Skag. Sounds like some whiny senior who didn't get
to play as much or didn't make all district or his parents who thought he should have made all state. Hale did a great job under some trying circumstances.
let me tell you about whinning seniors Hale must go
Hale is a terrible coach so don't say it was trying circumstances any good coach could have won 10 to 12 games with this team he has a way of making trying circumstances everywhere he goes all time wins at Carroll County with 76 in 14 years of which 41 where against schools with less then 600 students. also those 76 teams he beat had a GRAND TOTAL OF 290 GAMES WON last 3 years there he had 7 wins those teams combined won a total of 6 games, he lost in the playoffs this year to auburn who was 5-4 against public schools with those 5 teams combined record of 8 and 42 with 4 of the 8 against each other. SO IM NOT IMPRESSED WITH HIS COACHING ABILTYS !
