Freedom was up 14-6 at the half, then scored two touchdowns in the first minute of the second half to pull away. Freedom will definitely be a force to be reckoned with again this year. The new QB (Quest Powell) looked good--not many kids are going to be as explosive running the ball as Felton, but he threw the ball accurately and they have plenty of athletic receivers. Their line dominated Life Christian on both sides of the ball and opened up plenty of room for Brown to run.

Life Christian has some players, but they have an awfully long way to go. The touchdown drive was their only really good drive of the game and that required a fourth-down fake punt conversion and a play where one of the backs recovered the QB's fumble and ran for a first down. If they couldn't protect the quarterback against Freedom they are going to get him killed against St. Frances. Tons of penalties too. #50 is the probably the biggest high school kid I've ever seen--6'7" 350 according to the coach's twitter.

They are all underclassman and many of them freshman. They are a year or two away if they can last

I agree with Otnorot. I went to the game but left after the score went to 28-6. Freedom is not what they were last year but they will win some games (hard to replace an AJ Felton). I thought Freedom was very similar to Lake Braddock (based on just one game)-a solid team that has a shot at a deep playoff run.

I agree with the above posts and there were plenty of penalties that slowed the game down. Freedom will have plenty of weapons by the end of the season.
