I am extremely interested about this game. It is Vapreps ranked #8 Galax at #4 Radford in week 2. I am from the east and it would take me 4 hours to get there. I am considering making the trip to start off my Labor Day weekend. I am getting the feeling that Radford is a slight favorite from what I have read about them from other posters. I know Galax has been deep in the playoffs recently. Sounds like it could be a thriller. How many fans are expected to be at the game? How is Radford's football stadium? I have seen where Radford has some good skill players; does that mean they are going to pass it around? Anybody with any info on the game please chime in. I would like to get some chatter going!

Radford has a nice Stadium. Clean, neat and we'll kept with great fans. This would be worth the drive if you like Friday night football. Crowd attendance may be down some because of Holiday weekend.

Radford is the real deal this season they come to play and they do that's not me saying that Galax wont hold there own cause I think they will. And Galax is like GW they are a run first team and they do it very well the success that GW had was on the ground now that was only 2 TD's against the Varsity and 2 against the jv. But when we actually played and didn't run away from them we moved it pretty easy and scored so Galax will have success but with that said if Radford gets rolling it will be like stopping a train they hit there blocks well and they are on point and they are in position to make plays. I gotta take Radford 42-28 with Radford getting the upper hand late in the 3rd it should be close early and it will be worth the 4 hour trip the only game I would want to watch other than this is Richlands vs Union but I'm a GW fan so ill be at the Fort lol.

Agreed. Radford's game. I am curious to see Galax though; they are an adaptable team. They have a really tough schedule this season (so does Radford), so this could be a huge came for post season seeding.

Galax will have to show up and play one heck of a game on both sides of the ball to win this one. If they don't show up it will be like the Radford and GW game it will get ugly quick. With that being said I think Dixon has them ready to play and they have a good showing.

Yeah anyone who just shows up thinking that Radford doesn't deserve the hype like we did last week will be sadly and quickly shown why and how wrong they are. And yes Galax will not do what GW did and arm tackle they will hit and mean it but Radford is not shy do get as physical as they need to. Close game for the biggest part and Radford pulls it out late with overall SPEED lol quick at every position and in place to make plays.

Going to come down to whether or not Radford can make enough big plays. If its a grind it out game Galax is going to win on Harris' legs. Galax secondary and run defense are both good on called plays but can the Galax D line/linebackers contain Finely when he scrambles. If he gets to the outside often it will be a long night for Galax.

I agree on containing Finely, wow this is going to be a good game. Physical against finesse.

I agree if Galax can make it a shoving match and I mean that in the best of ways as a complement they will win cause when GW had success it was when our line did there thing. We got down 14-0 and the next time we had the ball we ran it down there throat with ease and I know Galax is always amazing up front so they will have success moving the ball. But they cant fall for Finley's tricks he will pump the ball and freeze the LB's and the DB's and then take off up the middle and Grant just runs you over lol. If Radford can get to the edge and open small holes for Grant it could be a long night for the Maroon Tide Grant takes a hole that looks like nothing and he hits it and is gone his speed is very deceptive and if you do catch him he lowers the boom which I love seeing. This should be the game of the week in 1A and IMO only second to Richlands vs Union.

I haven't seen Radford play but I definitely think Galax will be the more physical of the two and that could be the difference in the outcome. Hoping Galax can go pull the upset.

Will the weather play a roll in the game tonight if its raining; if so I think it favors Galax and a run heavy offense, however, I do think Grant can carry the load if Radford leans on him. I give the edge to Radford, rain or shine, but if no rain I think it could get out of hand.
