Galax forfeits Fort Chiswell

Mainly injuries & sickness, to go with some low numbers this year.
Last week, their starting QB was out, and the 3rd stringer was in during the 2nd half against Richlands.

Just ran out of healthy kids along with a few other issues with the team i believe. Just a rough year overall
Hate to see it. Hopefully they will be back to their normal selves next season.
Galax had alot of problems this year, they graduated their two best players
from last year(Tucker and Ashworth). Some of the most talented players on this year's team got injured and even had some that couldn't play due to grades. Not to mention from what I've been told there is a lot of attitude problems with this year's team? Galax has more problems right now than most people realize and I'll just leave it at that. On a side note I'm very appreciative of what Mark Dixon and Shane Allen did for Galax football but it's looking like it will be several years before they could be truly relevant again even as weak is class 1 is right now.

Hopefully they get things sorted out. Class 1 football is better when Galax is in the mix. As someone who has been a coach, and pray that I will be again one day, Mark Dixon was someone I followed and have nothing but the utmost respect for. I'm not as familiar with Coach Allen, but obviously he had tremendous success as well
