GW and PM are basically carbon copies of one another whether they want to admit it or not. Depth, size, speed. So in games like this, it usually comes down to turnovers or coaching. I would say the coach checkmark goes to PM. I got PM 21- GW 14

Sussex is speed and finesse, very similar to the Essex teams of years past, and very physical. Vista is more of power team with good speed and great coaching. Vista 21 Sussex 7. Losing Hill really hurts Sussex. I will be at this game

This is a first, I actually agree with most of what you are saying 2x4. The Sussex/Vista game will be closer and a little higher scoring though. Both have very good offenses unless missing Hill limits them that much.

Good luck to all 8 teams left and enjoy the moment. For some it may be your last time on the football field but you have a lifetime to display the things you learned playing this wonderful game. Safe travel to all those on the road this week.

Sussex has the best 1A defense in the state. I would be really surprised if Vista hangs more than 21 on them. If they do, no one in the west will beat them

While I see your point, their SOS is the third lowest of the remaining eight. Yes they beat those teams but showcasing a D against inferior teams doesn't mean they are the latest version of the Ravens. I have a ton of respect for them as they do have a very good team but Altavista will be the best team they have played since Franklin. Although they were able to beat 14-0, it seems Franklin was a hit or miss type team and didn't always show up on game days. We will see but I just see a little more scoring out of both. 34-26 win by A-town and I will be back to eat crow if I am wrong.

CB and Riverheads seem to be similar in that they are not particularly large but do what they do well. CB though will have play a near perfect game and not get into 2nd and long situations. I see Riverheads winning by at least 3 TD's.
Sussex will also be facing a good Altavista team. My head says this game will be closer than most folks think. Slight edge to Sussex.
PM-GW. I've been high on PM all season despite their single loss. However GW has been the favorite among those in the know since the preseason. I'll go with PM here.
Galax-FC??? Has Galax picked up any more transfers this year? Going with the Maroon Tide in this one.

Looks like the games went all chalk. I am surprised as there is usually an upset or two.

I went 2-2 in my picks. Picked against Sussex and GW. Congrats to both. Knew the Sussex defense was legit anyways. Just wasn't sure the offense could score enough but they proved me wrong and as a Region A guy I'm glad they did.

Very surprised Vista could not stop their offense. They only ran about 4 different plays. If Sussex receivers didnt drop 2 sure td passes, this would have been a blowout. I doubt Vistas rb's had a combined 20 yds

I dont understand why you have been so deeply convicted about Sussex. We havent said anything yet you always open your mouth to down us. But good luck to your team next week.
