Games this weekend in NNK

W&l at northumberland has been moved to Monday Oct 15
Northumberland is either going to be really battle tested or really beaten up with what they have. 5.5 games in 3 weeks.
I am not a big fan of HS teams resting players but they may seriously consider it in a couple of those games. Especially Mathews, Northampton, and Lancaster. At least be quick to pull guys at the half. And they're already up on Northampton by 2 scores.
Hopefully they can stay healthy through that stretch. The playoffs are much better when everyone is full strength, this year in region A I think it will be very exciting.

Agreed.

Dang, Northumberland (4-0) has their final 6 regular season football games in a 19 day period.

That is a football game in almost every 3 days. Even the half game is on the Eastern Shore (8 hour round trip) against a 5-1 Northampton so certainly not an easy day.

Does anyone recall any teams having to finish the season in this brief a time span? The boys will definitely be hardened warriors, just have to be wary of injuries heading into playoffs.

The good news about the great competition in Region A is whoever survives the Region A playoffs to face Riverheads will be battle tested and should be carrying some awesome momentum.

Riverheads has a bye in the playoffs and then will play a couple cupcakes so they will be used to easy wins.

At least that hopefully is one of the advantages Region A will have over Riverheads.....

It will be an exciting Monday night around the area. I hope all the Neck has their power back soon.

W&L at Northumberland - kickoff at 6 pm.

With Northumberland being closed tomorrow, I'm guessing the game will be moved again? Anybody heard anything?

I am glad W&L v NHS is on - if it had been moved to like Tuesday or another day that would be 6 games in 18 days or less. That would not be good so a wise decision to go ahead.

CB at Essex is on I assume.

Have not heard about the Rapp v Lancaster game as both schools are also off.

Lots of back roads still closed and some people in the Neck still don't have power. It wasn't as much damage in Essex.

This hurricane was worse than the last one - and everyone was ready for the last one (but not this one).
