John Garcia hit a homerun to help Denbigh cruised to a 13-0 game-shortened shutout of the Phoebus Phantoms. The Patriots improved to 4-2 on the year.
Matt Epperson pitched all five innings to earn the win. He allowed two stray singles while striking out four.
Garcia's second inning blast over the right field fence gave Denbigh a 5-0 lead. it was the fourth homerun this season for Garcia who had two homeruns in his previous game.
The Patriots scored runs in every inning including seven runs in the fourth inning to secure a 10+ run lead. Ben Sifen had a 2-run single in the first and Garcia had a 2-RBI single in the fourth. The Patriots finished with 10 hits as a team.
